You will be met by our representative at Bagdogra airport and begin your drive to Kurseong. Kurseong is a mid point between the plains and Darjeeling and offers excellent view of the valley. Kurseong is a quiet town surrounded by Tea Gardens and schools.
In the morning you will begin a walk to the agricultual community at Woodcot and continue walk to Chimney which is the main organic vegetable farm. You will enjoy a picnic breakfast on the way and continue your walk downhill to the forest museum from where vehicles will take you back to your hotel.
After lunch you will drive to the Kurseong Railway Station and enjoy a 03 hour train ride from Kurseong to Darjeeling
Early in the morning at 0400 hrs, you will be driven to Tiger Hill from where you can get the best view of the Himalayas during sunrise. If you are lucky you will be able to see Mt.Everest and Mt.Kanchenjunga turn golden with the first rays of the sun.
After sunrise you will hike back to Darjeeling via the Alubari Monastery, packed breakfast will be provided on the way. This hike is for 13 km and you can experience the countryside passing by small settlements on the way.
You will reach Darjeeling by lunch time and post lunch you will be taken on a tour to visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and Zoological Park. For the enthusiasts, you can take an extended walking tour to Observatory Hill and the Bhutia Basti Monastery.
After breakfast you will drive from Darjeeling to Pelling in West Sikkim. This drive is for 80 kms and would take approx.. 4 hours. On the way you can see Tukvar Tea Estate and factory.
In the afternoon in Pelling take a hike to the Sanga Choling Monastery on the hilltop.
Today you will take a hiking tour to Khechipalri Lake. This hike is for 18 kms where you will pass small water falls on the way. The sacred Khechipalri lake lies in a depression surrounded by prayer flags and forested hills.
Vehicles will be provided to drive you back to Pelling
After breakfast you will drive to the capital of Sikkim (Gangtok). On the way you can opt to see the Bon Monastery at Ravangla and the Temi Tea Estate.
Today you will visit the Rumtek Monastery which is the biggest monastery of this sector and the headquarter for the Kagyupa order of Tibetan Buddhism.
After the visit proceed to Martham Village and walk to Fambong Lho Wildlife Sanctuary with packed lunch. This Wildlife sanctuary has an area of 51.76 Sq.Kms. This sanctuary is home to a large number of Wild Orchids, Rhododendrons. The richly forested area is also known to be home for various species of animals and birds.
After breakfast drive from Gangtok to Kalimpong. Kalimpong is a quiet destination in the hills with pleasant weather round the year. It is because of the weather that Kalimpong has few of the best nurseries for orchid and cactus. In the afternoon you will be taken one of such nurseries and a monastery
After breakfast you will be driven to Durpin Hill which is an observatory point from where you can see the lush green valleys intersected by the ice cold mountain ranges of Kanchendzonga rivers such as the Teesta, Relli, Riang on one side and the sight of the plains on the other.
From here begin walk to Chebu Basti seeing Teesta River flowing down the Valley on one side and Darjeeling on the other side.. Chebu Village is surrounded by Cardamom Plantations, Seasonal Vegetable cultivation, Rice fields and Flower Nurseries
Packed Picnic lunch at the village and later walk back to the hotel
After breakfast you will be driven to Bagdogra / NJP for your onward connection.
