Best time to visit

Andaman and Nicobar islands are one of the best destinations in India. Andaman between October to May is suitable for sightseeing, water sports and other tourist activities are enjoyable in this season. There is no extreme climate expecting rains and tropical storms in late summer. The winter is calm only from January to April and to some extend in October. It is quite hot in the months of March to May in the Andamans. The best time to visit Andaman and Nicobar Islands is between mid November and April. Summer can also be one of the best seasons to travel to Andaman, with warm and pleasant breeze providing the perfect clime for tourist activities.

Veer Savarkar International Airport in Port Blair is connected via flights to Kolkata and Chennai. Only domestic operators offer flight service to Andaman Islands.

If travelling by sea, you can take a ship from Chennai, Vizag or Kolkata. The ships usually take 60-70 hours and have 3-4 sailings a month.

Radhanagar Beach

Radhanagar Beach also known as Beach No. 7 is counted among the most beautiful beaches of incredible Asia. It is one of the most astounding beaches located on the gorgeous Andaman Island. The Radhanagar Beach is located at a distance of just 7 kilometers away from the Vijaynagar Beach and about 12 kms from Havelock Island. The blue sea and white sand make this beach a perfect spot to bask in the midst of nature.

North Bay Island

North Bay Island offers beautiful coral reefs to the visitors which is the best part of this Island that catches the attention. Activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, sea walking, glass boat ride, semi submarine are some adventure activities available for tourist at the island. Amazingly, the light house seen at the back of a 20 Rupee note is actually the one which exists here at the North Bay Island.

Ross Island

Ross Island is a beautiful destination which must be visited when traveling to Andaman and Nicobar Islands. This is a lovely island to tour for a day trip amidst its beauty and historical importance. Ross Island was once headquarters of the British and the buildings that were built during the British time are still evident here. The Island is home to century old trees that have grown along the old building with large wild vines, roots, and trunks.

Vijaynagar Beach

The exceptionally beautiful Vijaynagar Beach is a part of the famous archipelago, Havelock Island. It is included amongst the top places to visit while in Andaman. Also known as the "Beach No 5," the beach is about 38 kilometers from the Port Blair. It is just the perfect place to go for swimming and underwater adventures and watersport activities. The blue sky and the unending beautiful sea makes the landscape of this beach highly engaging.

Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park

This Marine National Park was established in the year of 1983 and has a total area of about 281.50 Km2. The park is home to many birds like Andaman teal, white-bellied sea eagle, parakeets, heron, terns, and swifts. The Marine National Park is highly diverse and consists of white sandy beaches, greenery, and some exotic marine life. The crystal clear water offers excellent recreational facilities like touring the amazing marine life here.
