Daywise Tour Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival Dibrugarh

Arrive Dibrugarh airport. On arrival, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel.

Dibrugarh, situated on the banks of mighty river Brahmaputra, is the main tea town of Upper Assam and a main commercial place with historic importance.

Over night at hotel.

Day 2 - Dibrugarh Sightseeing

After breakfast visit Joypore rain forest, explore the flora & fauna. Later  proceed to the Nam-Phake village where a community named Tye-Phake resides. It is said that about 1000 years back this community moved from Thailand and settled down here. After lunch visit the Monastery to view the life style of these local people.

Over night at hotel.

Day 3 - Dibrugarh to Jorhat via Sivasagar

After breakfast drive Dibrugarh to Jorhat, en-route sightseeing in Sivasagar visiting Kareng Ghar, Talatal Ghar, Rang Ghar and Sivasagar Tai Museum.

Afternoon explore the town. Over night at hotel.

Day 4 - Day trip to Majuli

Breakfast at hotel and proceed to NimatiGhat to board ferry to Majuli Island.

Majuliis the second largest riverine island of the world, which spreads over 924.6 square kilometres with a population of about 150,000. The island, threatened with constant erosion by the mighty and unstable Brahmaputra River, had been the principal place of pilgrimage of Vaishnavites since the age of the Ahom rulers. Several Sattras (monasteries) resembling those of medieval times are headed by Satradhikars teaching Vaishnavism, which was introduced by SrimantaSankardeva (1449-1568). Each Sattra has an unknown wealth of Vaishnavite scriptures and extensive revenue-free lands cultivated by the Bhakats (celebated monks) of the Sattras. The Satras or Vaishnava monasteries which are the center of learning, art and culture. It is also famous for migratory bird and Missing tribal culture.

Arrive at Majuli and visit the local villages and the Satriya Monasteries. Later on back to Jorhat.

Day 5 - Jorhat to Kohima

After breakfast  proceed to Kohima (215 km/ 5 hours), the capital of Nagaland.

Over night at hotel.

Day 6 - Kohima sightseeing

After breakfast visit to War Cemetary and Naga Heritage Village.

Later on excursion to Khonoma and back(22 kms 1 hour approx. one way)

Khonoma: The village and forest walks will unfold the unique culture and heritage of the village as well its strong environmental initiatives.

Enjoy the warm, local hospitality of the Western Angamis in their homes in the picturesque and terraced Khonoma village.

Day 7 - Kohima to Imphal

After breakfast frive to Imphal.

Imphal, the tiny capital city of the northeastern state of Manipur, is an ideal destination off the beaten track. The landscape of green-blue hills, lush fields and low clouds is like an exquisite painting.

Over night at hotel.

Day 8 - Imphal sightseeing

After breakfast head towards Imphal city tour.

Do visit to Kangla Fort - an old palace at Imphal in Manipur. Kangla is the most important historical and archeological site of Manipur.II War Memorial is a must visit place. Ima Kaithel-Mothers Market in Imphal is the only one of its kind in India completely run and managed by women across different age groups. It is one of the city's unique travel experiences.

Over night stay at hotel.

Day 9 - Imphal - Loktak lake

After breakfast  start your full day tour of the largest fresh water lake in Northeast India. Known for its floating circular swamps, which are called phumdis in the local tongue, the lake invites tourists from far and wide for its ethereal beauty. Also see Keibul Lamjao National Park- the only floating park in the world, located in North East India, and an integral part of Loktak Lake.

Return back to Imphal city & night stay at hotel.

Day 10 - Departure

After  breakfast, check out from your hotel.

Drop at Imphal airport for your onward journey will be provided.

Cancellation Policy

Policy Regarding Cancellation / No Show / Early Departure

In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows:

  • 16 days to prior to arrival - 50% of the tour/service cost.
  • 15 days to 01 days prior to arrival or no show - 100% of the tour/service cost.

Please note - Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs - in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us - a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.
