Graeme Westlake in his book ‘An introduction to hill stations on India’ refers to Darjeeling as having “A view Scarcely Unrivalled on Earth”.

Early morning at around 04:00 AM drive to 8000 feet / 2440 meters Tiger Hill (subject to availability of coupons)to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather) , after visit transfer back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast you will be visiting the places like -Tenzing/ Gumpo Rock, Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Tea Garden (panoramic view), Japanese temple Peace pagoda, Tibetan Refugee center, Batasia Loop (closed on Sunday)evening free to stroll around the market, Overnight at Darjeeling.

GANGTOK: At an altitude of 1750m, Gangtok became the state capital in the mid-19th century and has undergone rapid development since then. The downtown area is dominated by huge government buildings decorated with traditional Buddhist symbols. Gangtok is also a resting ground for people traveling to North Sikkim. Surrounded by Monasteries and Orchids, Gangtok is truly a travellers delight.

Kickstart your day with a hearty meal as today is going to be a fun day. According to your pre decided schedule, you will be visiting Tsomgo Lake (12,400 Feet), a high-altitude lake that is sacred to both Hindus and Buddhist. After spending a few minutes at the lake, you will visit the Harbhajan Singh Baba Mandir (13,200 Feet). Sepoy /Honorary Captain Baba Harbhajan Singh (1946–1968) was an Indian Army soldier who served from 30 June 1965 to 4 October 1968. He is said to serve the Indian Army even after his death by coming in dreams of soldiers and telling them the plans of their enemies. This temple is dedicated to him.
